THIS week has seen, perhaps, the two finest albums…

of the year arrive at once. We have Wolf Alice’s Visions of a Life and Benjamin Clementine’s I Tell a Fly. It is a fantastic double and shows what terrific British music there is right now. In addition to a track from each album; there are new ones from Ezra Furman and BANKS; videos from Maggie Rogers and The Horrors – a lovely selection of big-name releases and those rarer-than-most gems. It is always good seeing the full breadth of music come to the fore.
Among the mainstream best are sensational Rap and Urban tracks; Indie smashes and some incredible Pop moments – guaranteeing the last September Playlist is a smash!

I am keen to see what comes in October and the type of music that will appear. September has been a really full and exciting one. So many terrific albums and songs have revealed themselves and that can only continue – let’s see what else the autumn has to throw at us! It is a wonderful and rich time for music right now.
I will wrap up this edition but have been delighted by the range and quality of this week’s Playlist…
