RECENTLY, we were treated to the line-up for Glastonbury Festival.

Now, the bill for Reading and Leeds has been unveiled. We already knew the headliners would be Kasabian, Eminem and Muse: joining them are an array of artists including Blossoms, Two Door Cinema Club and Circa Waves. Look down the poster and there is something for everyone in there. It is not a bad line-up but seems more male-heavy than Glastonbury. That is an issue that needs addressing but, for this year, it is good to see a range of established and newcomers sharing the stages. The way the two cities share the acts is: Reading’s lineup works chronologically (Friday to Sunday on the poster) whilst Leeds’ has Kasabian headlining on Saturday (Friday at Reading), Eminem on Sunday (Saturday at Reading); Muse takes the Friday kick-off slot there (they close Reading). From 25th-27th August, Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park, Leeds will play host to some wonderful musicians. Have a listen to the playlist below and experience a cut from the artists that will play over the three-day festival.

As you can see, there are some fantastic songs you can/might expect to be played at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival. It will be a wonderful event – let’s hope the weather remains pleasant! People from all around the world will be making their way to catch some of our biggest artists play. Muse are likely to bring an explosive whilst Eminem appearance is sure to go down a storm. No matter what your tastes and how you view the headliners – I am a bit ho-hum in regards quality and predictability – Reading and Leeds, as one expects, has put together…

A mighty-epic line-up!
